The Tav provides a place where students can meet and enjoy
student-priced drinks and meals in a relaxed and friendly
atmosphere. Your Guild also provides free entertainment every
week during semester. DJs play every day (12-noon – 2.00pm)
and top local and national touring bands perform on Fridays
(4.00pm – 6.00pm). Popular Guild-sponsored events held in
the Tav each year include the PROSH Ball, National Campus Bands
Competition, Karaoke Competition and Oktoberfest. Keep an eye out
for the Pelican newspaper, Silver Guilder, G-News and the many
posters around campus which publicise entertainment and upcoming
events in the Tav. For the sports-minded, the Tav has Eight Ball
and Foosball tables and a BIG screen TV for major sporting
events.
Trading hours during semester are:
Monday – Thursday, 11.00am – 6.00pm
Fridays 11.00am – 7.00pm
Outside these hours, including Saturdays, the Tav is available
for Club/Faculty shows, social events, quiz nights, birthday
parties etc.

Got a wealth of completely useless knowledge you want to
impress people with? Want to win some sweet prizes, all while
enjoying a beverage in the comfort of the Tav? Here's your
chance. From 26th August, the Tav will be holding "Tav Trivia", Tuesdays from 1.30pm, for the low
low price of FREE! Just rock up - all you need is your general
knowledge. Or, failing that, discreet wireless access to
Wikipedia...
